Prince Harry Reveals Conversation He Had With His & Meghan Markle’s Son Archie About Princess Diana
Prince Harry is revealing a recent conversation he had with his and Meghan Markle’s son Prince Archie about Princess Diana. While speaking with CTV during the 2025 Invictus Games, the Duke of Sussex shared that as he was explaining the games to his 5-year-old son, it led to a conversation about his late mother’s notable 1997 trip through a landmine field in Angola to raise awareness and advocate to clear landmines globally. “It’s hard because kids – they’ll always ask the right questions. There’s no filter. So, you either shut it down straight away, which I will never do, or you engage in the conversation, and you try to explain things. But then it does, I mean, Archie was talking about, as I said earlier, Archie was asking about landmines, so I was talking about how some of these guys were blown up. I think IEDs is probably a bit too much at this stage, but I found myself talking to him about mines when he was 5 years old,” the 40-year-old said, adding, “And it interestingly gave me a chance to talk about my mom – his grandma – which I didn’t even really consider.” Prince Harry added that he then showed Archie videos and pictures from Princess Diana’s trip. “So, it produced a very interesting conversation between me and him – different to what I thought it was going to be,” the Duke said.
