Naya Rivera’s Son Tried To Throw Rope To Save Her In Accidental Drowning, Ryan Dorsey Says
Naya Rivera’s ex Ryan Dorsey is reflecting on the “Glee” star’s accidental drowning – and its impact on their son. The “Justified” actor spoke exclusively to People magazine in a rare interview about the tragedy, which occurred in July 2020 during an excursion on a rental pontoon boat on Lake Piru in California. Ryan said that Josey, who is now 9, has spoken to him a lot about that day, when he and Naya went swimming together. He shared, “Something [Josey’s] said over and over is that he was trying to find a life raft, and there was a rope, but there was a big spider on the rope, and he was too scared to throw it. I keep reassuring him, ‘Buddy, that rope wasn’t going to be long enough.'”
