Philadelphia Eagles Star Saquon Barkley Defends Taylor Swift After She Was Booed at Super Bowl LIX
Saquon Barkley has no time for Taylor Swift critics. During an interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” the Philadelphia Eagles running back defended the pop star after she was booed at the Super Bowl. “They showed her on the jumbotron and she got booed. I don’t get it. I don’t get why she was getting hate there,” he said, before adding how she has driven new fans to the sport. “She’s just there supporting her significant other and she’s made the game bigger. We’re all about how can we expand the game and make it more internationally and we’re traveling to Brazil and we’re traveling to Mexico and her being a part of it, it’s only helping that, so I don’t get the slack that she’s getting,” he said. The “NFL” star wasn’t the only one in the “Cruel Summer” singer’s corner. Following the viral moment, tennis legend Serena Williams took to social media to show her support, writing, “I love you @taylorswift13 dont listen to those booo!!”
