Liam Payne’s Girlfriend Kate Cassidy Breaks Silence On Singer’s Final Days in Emotional Interview
Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy is sharing insight into the singer’s final days. In her first interview since the “One Direction” star’s tragic passing, the influencer told “The Sun” that it still “doesn’t feel fully real” that the 31-year-old is gone as she also revealed why she left him in Argentina. “Originally, we thought we were only going to be in Argentina for about a week, give or take a little less a little more. And after two weeks we – I had a responsibility. We had a responsibility. We had our dog. And obviously I never would have thought this event would have occurred. I never would have thought that this would have happened.” Kate also shared how she found out Liam had passed, saying, “I was in our home alone. I was with our dog. So, I was – I was alone. Yeah, I just still thinking about that is – it’s just insane to me. I was actually scrolling on TikTok right before I got a phone call, and that’s how I found out, unfortunately,” she said, revealing that one of the singer’s friends had called her, adding that she was in disbelief. “It’s literally blocked out of my head. I just – I didn’t believe it at first at all. I genuinely thought it was just a rumor, you know, or some made up thing that somebody made up just to get views online. And instantly I just had a bad feeling in my gut. I was like, ‘why would somebody make this up?’ I just completely blacked out. I felt just numb because I was like, this can’t be true. And when I officially found the news to be true, it just once again, I just fully was numb. I just didn’t believe it,” she said. Additionally, the 25-year-old opened up about how she still thinks about her late boyfriend “every second of every day,” while adding how strong she felt they were together. “Liam was in such a good headspace when I left Argentina. We were in such a great place, just full of love; he was so happy and positive. And I just can’t even believe the way things truly ended.”
