‘Scamanda’ Creator Reveals How She Tracked Down Amanda Riley & Talks New Series

The number one true crime podcast “Scamanda” told the story of Amanda Riley, a mom and Christian blogger who was sentenced to five years in prison for wire fraud relating to faking a cancer diagnosis and collecting over $100,000 in donations for treatment. Riley plead guilty and is currently in a Texas prison but will transfer to a halfway house in July. Now, ABC is digging deeper in a four-part docu-series “Scamanda” featuring the investigating producer Nancy Moscatiello who helped take Amanda down. Access Hollywood’s Zuri Hall spoke with Nancy who talked about who Amanda was, how she was able to track her down and how the scam impacted people who knew Amanda. Part one of “Scamanda” premieres Jan. 30 at 9 p.m. on ABC and the next day on Hulu.
