NYU College Republicans President Speaks Out After Resigning Over Barron Trump Comment

The president of NYU’s College Republicans has resigned after calling Barron Trump an “oddity on campus.” President Donald Trump’s son is currently attending the New York City school. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the now-former president of the group, Kaya Walker, spoke about what it’s like to have Barron as a fellow student. Now, she is sharing her belief that the remarks were twisted. “My comment to Vanity Fair has been ridiculously misconstrued to suggest that I found Barron Trump’s commuter status to be unusual,” Walker wrote in her resignation letter, which was shared on X. She went on to clarify, “the ‘oddity’ I talked about lies in the unhealthy fascination that people have with a teenager just minding his business by going to college and not at all in Barron Trump himself.”
