Miss Teen USA Pageant Queen Kadance Fredericksen Dead at 18 After Car Crash In Florida
A Miss Teen USA pageant queen has died at 18 following a car crash in Florida. Kadance Fredericksen, who represented Okaloosa County at the 2024 Miss Florida Teen USA pageant, was killed after her vehicle collided head-on with a tractor trailer in Santa Rosa County around 1:30pm on Monday, Feb. 17, according to CBS affiliate WKRG. The outlet notes that the 18-year-old had been accepted to nine colleges and was aiming to be a veterinarian, with her family describing her as “absolutely perfect” with “the whole world at the palm of her hands.” A candlelight vigil for Kadance will reportedly take place on Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Baker School football stadium. The pageant queen had created an organization in 2017 called “Kada’s Promise” which collected teddy bears and blankets for children in foster care, homeless shelters, abuse shelters and hospitals, according to the program’s website. The vigil for Kadance asks those attending to bring a teddy bear in memory of the teen, according to WKRG.
