Jill Duggar’s Husband Derick Dillard Shuts Down Jim Bob Duggar Reconciliation Rumors
Jill Duggar’s husband Derick Dillard is still not on good terms with Jim Bob Duggar. On Jan. 9, the 35-year-old responded to online chatter about his relationship with his father-in-law after Jill’s brother, James Duggar, shared a photo of him and Jim sitting next to each other on Dec. 25. Shortly after fans started speculating that the two might have reconciled—but Derick quickly shut that down, commenting on an Instagram post from People that noted the two were seen “mingling.” “Just so people know, Jim Bob approached me while we were there on Christmas Day for about 5 minutes, and I do not respect him. I don’t think that is considered ‘mingling,’” he commented on the post. Jill is one of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 kids. The family rose to fame in 2008 with their TLC show “19 Kids and Counting.” Over the years Jill and her husband, Derick, have admitted that they have a complicated relationship with Jim Bob and Michelle and their involvement in the religious organization, “Institute in Basic Life Principles.”
