George W. Bush’s Daughter Barbara Bush Reveals She’s Supporting Kamala Harris Days Before Election
Former President George W. Bush’s daughter Barbara Pierce Bush has broken her silence on the 2024 election and confirmed that she is supporting Vice President Kamala Harris. The former first daughter, who is also the granddaughter of former President George H.W. Bush, revealed to People magazine on Oct. 29 that she campaigned in Pennsylvania for the Democratic presidential nominee as Election Day nears. “It was inspiring to join friends and meet voters with the Harris-Walz campaign in Pennsylvania this weekend,” she exclusively told the outlet, adding, “I’m hopeful they’ll move our country forward and protect women’s rights.” Barbara’s announcement comes weeks after Bush’s office told NBC News that he and his wife, former first lady Laura Bush, do not plan on endorsing any candidate or sharing how they voted. The former first daughter also follows in her father’s Vice President, Dick Cheney’s, and his daughter, former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney’s, footsteps as they have publicly voiced their support for Harris in the 2024 election, despite being Republican. Liz Cheney has even campaigned for the Vice President, sharing her belief that Donald Trump poses a “danger.”
