Savannah Guthrie’s Missing Mother Case Being Treated As A Crime, Sheriff Confirms
The search continues for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, mother of “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie. Ms. Guthrie was last seen on the night of Jan. 31 at her home outside of Tucson, AZ. Her family reported her missing at noon the next day, according to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos. According to the sheriff, Ms. Guthrie is not in good physical health but has no reported cognitive issues. Nanos initially stated in a press conference near Ms. Guthrie’s home that U.S. Customs and Border Protection was assisting search and rescue teams from Pima county and that the FBI is also aware of the case. However, in an update on Feb. 2, he explained why the case is now considered a crime.
