North West Joins Dad Ye Onstage During ‘Comeback’ Show in Los Angeles
North West made a surprise appearance onstage alongside her dad Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, during what some critics describe as his “comeback” show at SoFi stadium in Los Angeles on April 1. North, who the rapper shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, joined Ye to perform “Talking,” a 2024 track which she is featured on, as well as “Piercing On My Hand,” the 12-year-old’s self-produced singe released in 2026. Before she left the stage, the preteen was captured on fan video hugging her father. Over on North’s TikTok account, which is managed by an adult, she posted videos of herself in her outfit from the April 1 concert. The preteen also uploaded a few close-up shots of her face, in which she showed off her makeup, grills, jewelry, and blue hair that was tied in pig tails. Ye’s show at SoFi is the first of two at the stadium, as well as his first full live U.S. show since 2021. His April 1 concert additionally coincided with the first night of Passover and comes two months after he released an apology in a Wall Street Journal ad for his previous controversial remarks and actions, including years of antisemitic outbursts. “Twenty five years ago, I was in a car accident that broke my jaw and caused injury to the right frontal lobe of my brain. At the time, the focus was on the visible damage – the fracture, the swelling, and the immediate physical trauma. The deeper injury, the one inside my skull, went unnoticed,” he wrote in part at the time. Further in his ad, the designer, who detailed the struggles he’s faced living with bipolar disorder, said he “lost touch with reality” and in a “fractured state” turned “toward the most destructive symbol I could find, the swastika.” “I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state,” he said in part, adding, “I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.” Afterwards, Ye also apologized to the Black community. “I am so sorry to have let you down. I love us,” he said. At the end of his note, Ye revealed that he hit rock bottom and went to seek help, claiming that he now follows an “effective regime” consisting of “medication, therapy, exercise, and clean living.”
