R. Kelly’s Daughter Buku Abi Alleges Singer Sexually Abused Her Growing Up

R. Kelly’s daughter, Buku Abi, is opening up for the first time about the alleged abuse she suffered as a child, alleging she was one of her dad’s victims. In TVEI Streaming Network’s explosive, two-part documentary “R. Kelly’s Karma: A Daughter’s Journey,” the 26-year-old alleges she was abused as a child by her father, claiming the alleged instance happened when she was 8 or 9. “I just remember waking up to him touching me,” she alleged in the doc. “And I didn’t know what to do, so I just kind of laid there, and I pretended to be asleep.” In the doc, Abi said she waited to tell her mom until she was 10 years old. After she told her mom what allegedly happened she claims they filed a police complaint as “Jane Doe” but the police “couldn’t prosecute him because I waited too long.” Access Hollywood has reached out to R. Kelly’s team for comment. His attorney denied the allegations in a statement to People. “Mr. Kelly vehemently denies these allegations,” the statement reads. “His ex-wife made the same allegation years ago, and it was investigated by the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services and was unfounded…And the ‘filmmakers,’ whoever they are, did not reach out to Mr. Kelly or his team to even allow him to deny these hurtful claims.”
