Kendrick Lamar Gets Super Bowl Stadium To Join In Singing Drake Diss Track ‘Not Like Us’
Kendrick Lamar is fresh off his epic Super Bowl LIX halftime performance! On Sunday, Feb. 9, the rapper took the stage during the big game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs and did not disappoint. His performance began with an introduction by Samuel L. Jackson who was dressed as Uncle Sam. As he rapped to his 2017 hit “Humble” the rapper’s background dancers formed an American flag behind him. Later in his performance, the artist was joined by SZA as the two sang their hits “Luther” and “All the Stars.” Plus, after weeks of speculation, the rapper performed his popular Drake diss track “Not Like Us,” which received five Grammys at last week’s award show, as he even got the whole stadium to sing along to the infamous “a minor” line. The Pulitzer Prize winer looked into the camera directly addressing Drake as he rapped a few lines about him and seemingly took another swipe at his rival as he teased the single to his backup performers saying, “I want to perform their favorite song, but you know they love to sue” – an apparent reference to the fact that Drake has sued Universal Music Group over the track. Not only that, but the 37-year-old appeared to wear an “a minor” chain during the entire show. As he continued to rap his hit diss track, Serena Williams, who is an ex of Drake after briefly dating in 2011, was also spotted dancing along the stage. To close out his set, Kendrick brought out Mustard to perform his 2024 hit “tv off.”
