Jamie Foxx Breaks Silence Following Altercation at Birthday Dinner: ‘Too Blessed to Be Stressed’

Jamie Foxx is speaking out. On Sunday, Dec. 15, the actor shared a message on Instagram saying he was “too blessed to be stressed” following a physical altercation at his birthday dinner two days earlier where someone had reportedly thrown a glass from another table that “hit him in the mouth” which required him to get stitches. “The devil is busy…but I’m too blessed to be stressed,” the Academy Award winner posted on his profile. Underneath the image, he also added a caption in which he thanked his fans for the support. “The devil is a lie. Can’t win here… thank you to everybody that pray and check on me… when your light is shining bright… they try to bring you darkness … but they don’t know that you’re built for it… the lights have been shining bright,” the “Django Unchained” star wrote in part. A representative for Foxx had confirmed the incident to multiple outlets, adding that the 57-year-old is “recovering” after getting stitches and that the matter “is now in law enforcement’s hands.”
