Fyre Festival Returning This Summer, Founder Billy McFarland Confirms 8 Years After Failed Attempt

The failed Fyre Festival is returning this year and its founder Billy McFarland says this time things will be different. McFarland appeared on “Today” to detail Fyre Festival 2. “My dream is finally becoming a reality,” said McFarland. The festival is slated for May 30 to June 2 in Isla Mujeres, Mexico. The original Fyre Festival was full of controversy after promising a luxury a music experience and failing. Attendees infamously arrived at the event which had no concert and left them stranded in poor conditions. “I think it’s always a risk. You’re taking a risk because I made a lot of bad decisions and messed up the first festival. Until it’s experienced, there is a risk component to it,” says McFarland.
