Sosie Bacon – the daughter of Kevin Bacon & Kyra Sedgwick – has been named Miss Golden Globe 2014 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
On Thursday, Access Hollywood caught up with the 21-year-old beauty after the big announcement (and she also appeared on Friday’s Access Hollywood Live), where we learned more about the young lady who will be sharing the stage with this year’s winners.
She’s following in her famous parents’ acting footsteps: Sosie made her acting debut in 2005’s “Loverboy,” which her famous dad directed. She has also appeared with mom Krya on “The Closer.”
Her Globes dress search is almost over: “We’ve had a fitting… I’ve narrowed it down. I’m kind of still figuring it out, but it’s been fun, really fun.”
Biggest fear on Globes night: “Falling on my heels. I’m so bad at walking in heels. I’ve literally been practicing, not as much as I probably should because I always just wear flats. I can’t handle wearing heels… I’m afraid I’m gonna trip on my dress. I’m afraid I’m gonna fall on my face and it’s like not even my moment, so it would just be so awkward.”
Celebrity she most wants to meet at the Globes: “Lena Dunham. Her show is so amazing. I’m absolutely obsessed with ‘Girls.’”
Sosie’s no expert on her dad’s films: “I don’t really watch their movies that much. I haven’t seen ‘Footloose’ all the way through… I’ve watched like moments of it on TV and stuff… ‘Apollo 13,’ never saw it.”
The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards – with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler – will air live on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 8 PM ET and 5 PM PT on NBC.
