Comicstorian YouTube Star Ben Potter’s Cause Of Death At 40 Revealed

A cause of death has been revealed for Ben Potter, the YouTube star known as Comicstorian.

Potter passed away June 8 at age 40 following a single-vehicle freeway crash near Fort Collins, Colo., authorities confirmed to multiple outlets on Wednesday.

“The Windsor resident was southbound on I-25 at milepost 267.5 when his silver Toyota 4Runner traveled off the right shoulder of the interstate,” local police said in a statement. “He continued to cross over the frontage road paralleling the interstate before rolling his vehicle multiple times.”

Potter was reportedly the only occupant in his vehicle and had his seatbelt on at the time of the crash. He succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene, the Colorado State Patrol added. The incident is said to still be under investigation with no impairment or excessive speed suspected at this time.

The internet personality’s wife, Nathalie, first attributed his death to an “unfortunate accident,” sharing in a lengthy message on Potter’s official social media how his legacy will continue living on through his acclaimed work.

Potter’s YouTube channel boasts more than 3 million subscribers and features audio dramas of comic books and analyses of various properties throughout the Marvel and DC universes.

“Ben was loving and genuine. He was someone who would listen and make time for his loved ones,” she continued. “He would do his best to make everyone laugh and make sure they were okay. He was our rock and he’d reassure his loved ones whenever they needed it.”
