Why Sabrina Carpenter Joked at Concert About Getting NYC Mayor Eric Adams Indicted
Sabrina Carpenter is weighing in on potentially contributing to New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ indictment. During a sold-out show on her “Short n’ Sweet” tour at Madison Square Garden on Sept. 29, the “Espresso” singer joked to the crowd, “Damn, what now? Should we talk about how I got the mayor indicted, or…” The mayor was indicted last week on federal charges including bribery, receiving and soliciting campaign contributions by foreign nationals, and conspiracy offenses. He pleaded not guilty. However, a report by the New York Post suggested that the pop star’s music video for her hit song “Feather” may have helped lead to the federal probe. Access Hollywood has reached out to Mayor Adams and Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello for comment.
