Sydney Sweeney Slams ‘Women Empowering Other Women’ In Hollywood As Fake

Sydney Sweeney is speaking out. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the actress was asked why she thinks there’s a tendency to knock women performers down when they’re at their professional peak, which other celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway have reportedly previously discussed, noting that the “Anyone But You” star and her team fought back when veteran Hollywood producer Carol Baum said the actress is “not pretty” and “can’t act.” “It’s very disheartening to see women tear other women down, especially when women who are successful in other avenues of their industry see younger talent working really hard—hoping to achieve whatever dreams that they may have—and then trying to bash and discredit any work that they’ve done,” the “Euphoria” star began, adding,“This entire industry, all people say is “Women empowering other women.” None of it’s happening. All of it is fake and a front for all the other sh–t that they say behind everyone’s back.”
