Simon Cowell Breaks Down In Tears After Youth Choir Covers Late Nightbirde Song On ‘AGT’
The new season of “America’s Got Talent” just kicked off – and it got a bit emotional. After judges Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum watched act after act, the premiere’s final performance scored the season’s first golden buzzer. The Mzansi Youth Choir, a group of singers from South Africa, sang a rendition of “It’s Ok,” which was written by the late Nightbirde. “I know how much this would have meant to her. Right until the end, she was so passionate about sharing her music. And this has gone all over the world. And you’ve come back here with the most amazing tribute. It was just breathtaking, honestly,” Simon tearfully said.
