Queen Elizabeth Looks Thrilled To Begin Summer Vacation At Balmoral Castle

Queen Elizabeth is ready for some summer relaxation! The British monarch was treated to a welcome ceremony at Balmoral Castle, her summer residence in Scotland. She was greeted in style by the Balaklava Company, 5 Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland. Bagpipes and drums also played in celebration, and she also got a warm welcome from a very adorable Shetland Pony named Lance Corporal Cruachan IV. This trip to Balmoral is a bittersweet one, as it marks her first holiday there since the death of her husband Prince Philip, who passed away in April at 99.
