Paris Hilton Urges U.S. House Of Representatives To Pass Child Abuse Act In Passionate Letter
Paris Hilton is urging the U.S. House of Representatives in a personal open letter to pass a piece of legislation close to her heart. “I ask you to carry it across the finish line,” Hilton wrote in the letter, dated Dec. 16. The reality star has lobbied for the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act for several years. On Wednesday, Dec. 11, the bill passed the U.S. Senate with unanimous support and now awaits a vote from the House. “I urge you to think about the children who can’t speak for themselves. They’re relying on us—on you—to stand up for their safety and dignity,” Hilton added.
