On June 7, Ben’s wife announced on Facebook that the 40-year-old athlete had been hospitalized in Wisconsin due to a severe case of pneumonia, brought on by a staph infection. Just two days later, following a double lung transplant, Ben shared a video on Instagram to update his followers on his condition. Notably, the MMA fighter not only revealed that he has no memory of anything that occurred from June 28 to July 2, but he also says he died four times before the transplant procedure.
