Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Meet With Medical Evacuees From Gaza During Surprise Jordan Visit

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have embarked on a two-day humanitarian visit to Jordan. Their surprise trip to the Middle East was announced at midnight local time on Wednesday, Feb. 25, the first day of their trip, according to People, and is in partnership with the World Health Organization focusing on efforts which support those affected by conflict and displacement. For the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first engagement, the pair attended a WHO roundtable in Amman that included key donors and humanitarian partners. The same day, the couple, who both did an outfit change, visited the QuestScope Youth Center at the Za’atari refugee camp, home to tens of thousands of displaced Syrians, where they took part in activities. One photo shows Meghan kicking a ball while on a field. The pair also listened to a music performance and were photographed interacting with children at various times. Plus, the Duke and Duchess also made a stop to the Specialty Hospital in Amman where they met with medical evacuees from Gaza. At one point, the As Ever founder was seen crouching down to speak with a 14-year-old burn victim named Maria. Meghan and Harry’s trip comes nearly a week after former Prince Andrew was arrested in the UK on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
