Lori Loughlin Has Been In ‘Constant Touch’ With ‘Full House’s’ Dave Coulier Amid Amid His Cancer Battle
Lori Loughlin stepped out of her comfort zone in her new show “On Call.” In the Prime Video series, the 60-year-old plays Lt. Bishop and she told Access Hollywood when she got the script she jumped at the opportunity to play something different. “For me, to get the script and the offer to play Lt. Bishop, I was so honored because it’s a character that I’ve never played before and not typically a character people would envision me playing,” she told Access. “The script was page turning and just so rich, it was action-packed, but it was great characters and then the opportunity to play a character that’s so different from other character’s I’ve played, I just jumped at the opportunity.” But taking the role came with some nerves. “It was a different role for me, so I was at first a little apprehensive and didn’t necessary have, I think, the confidence in my ability to play the role,” she admitted before thanking her co-star Eriq La Salle for giving her words on encouragement on set. “Eriq really was my confidence and built up my confidence and helped me really build the character of Bishop,” she said. Lori also revealed how she is supporting her friend and “Full House” co-star Dave Coulier as he battles cancer. “We are in constant touch with him, and he’s got a good attitude, he is a trooper and he is going to beat this, I have no doubt,” she said. “On Call” premieres Jan. 9 with all eight episodes on Prime Video.
