Jessica Simpson Once Detailed Getting Prenup With Eric Johnson After Nick Lachey Divorce

Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson have split after 10 years of marriage. The “Take My Breath Away” singer shared in a statement with Access Hollywood that she and her husband are currently taking time apart, saying, “Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage.” During their time together they welcomed three kids, 12-year-old daughter Maxwell, 11-year-old son Ace and 5-year-old daughter Birdie. Prior to news of the split, Jessica told Access in 2020 that she was adamant about getting a prenup with Eric after she didn’t get one with ex-husband Nick Lachey. “We both were, actually. We connected over both being divorced and having our hearts broken and then knowing who we wanted for the rest of our lives,” she said.
