Jenna Ortega Shares How Paul Rudd Created a ‘Safe Environment’ On Set of ‘Death of a Unicorn’
Jenna Ortega is sharing her appreciation for costar Paul Rudd! On Saturday, March 8, Access Hollywood chatted with the actress during the South by Southwest premiere of her and Rudd’s latest film, “Death of a Unicorn,” where she explained how the “Clueless” star encouraged the rest of the cast. “He really curates such a safe environment on set. I felt like anytime I got to shoot a scene with him, he just wanted to make sure that everybody was laughing, and everybody didn’t take themselves too seriously,” the 22-year-old began, adding, “I think that is a really special quality to possess because, you know, you shoot a film and [it] lives on forever. Whatever you capture people are going to have access to for the rest of your life, so I think it’s very easy for someone like me to get in my head about something like that. But then he says something stupid before a take or looks at you funny, and then you realize that none of this really matters. You’re just making a fun movie.” Plus, the “Beetlejuice” star raved about working with Lady Gaga for “Wednesday” season 2. “I love working with Gaga. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing her a couple of times now, and she’s only ever been unbelievably sweet and just precious. It’s insane to see someone with such a bold persona and just bursting with this incredible, unachievable talent for most,” Ortega said. “Death of a Unicorn” hits theaters March 28.
