Hoda Kotb’s ‘Today’ Show Replacement Revealed As Craig Melvin

Craig Melvin is stepping into a new role on the “TODAY” show. The NBC News personality is set to replace Hoda Kotb as co-anchor of “TODAY,” alongside Savannah Guthrie starting in 2025. The announcement came directly from Guthrie on Thursday, Nov. 14. “Our dear friend and talented, wonderful, hardworking, most worthy of this, Craig Melvin is the new anchor of the today show!” she exclaimed, before noting how the decision was one of the “most popular decisions NBC News has ever made.” Melvin, who already co-hosts the third hour of “TODAY,” then addressed his new role, saying how “beyond excited and grateful” he is, sharing, “I’ve enjoyed just a lifetime of blessings, and this is the latest of a long line of blessings.” Kotb also noted on Thursday that her last day as co-host will be Jan. 10, 2025.
