Grammys Producer Speaks Out On Bianca Censori’s Controversial Nearly-Naked Red Carpet Look

A Grammys producer is speaking out on Bianca Censori’s controversial nearly-naked fashion statement. On Sunday, Feb. 2, Kanye West’s wife arrived at the red carpet alongside him in a long, fur trench coat, but as the couple posed for the cameras, she dropped her jacket to reveal seemingly nothing but a sheer body stocking underneath. Now, executive producer Raj Kapoor is sharing his thoughts on the shocking stunt, telling People Magazine that the dress code for the event is “artistic black-tie,” though he added, “in the music industry, I guess that’s up for interpretation.” He further revealed that performers do have a dress code they have to follow, but for guests it appears to be up to the Recording Academy, sharing, “Obviously there is a dress code for anybody actually performing on the show that we have to adhere to standards and practices. But as far as people attending and nominees attending, that would be something the Academy would have to answer.” Though there has been no official word from the Academy so far on Censori’s look, CBS, the network that aired the show, previously shared a “Standard And Practice Wardrobe Advisory” in 2013 obtained by Deadline at the time in which they advised talent on camera to “adhere to Network policy concerning wardrobe” and to “be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered” adding, “thong type costumes are problematic.” Ye and his wife, however, did not stay for the event and left right after they posed for the cameras.
