Catherine O’Hara, Star Of ‘Schitt’s Creek’ & ‘Home Alone’ Dies At Age 71

Catherine O’Hara, who was best known for her comedic performances in “Schitt’s Creek,” “Best in Show” and the Christmas classic, “Home Alone” has died at age 71. Her manager, Marc Gurvitz, confirmed the news to NBC News on Jan. 30, but did not specify a cause of death. Moments later her team released a statement noting the actress died on Friday at her home in Los Angeles following a brief illness. Moments after her death was announced several of her co-stars and friends paid tribute, including her “Home Alone” castmate Macaulay Culkin.
