Billy Ray Cyrus Posts Heartfelt Tribute To Miley Cyrus Amid Alleged Family Drama

Billy Ray Cyrus is speaking out. On Friday, the country singer took a walk down memory lane and shared a throwback picture of when Miley Cyrus used to be young on Instagram. “One of my best memories ever: @cma Fest, back when it was Fan Fair,” he started his heartfelt post that included a framed photo of him holding a young Miley, over two handwritten notes. “That’s @mileycyrus and me, surrounded by thousands of incredible fans at the fairgrounds. The next day, someone handed me this picture, and I wrote that poem right then on the bus.” Billy then turned to the present to express how proud he is of his daughter—who won two Grammys earlier this year. “I’m incredibly proud of her. She’s a survivor and a true artist. She learned early on to love and appreciate the fans who make everything possible. We both cherish the connection we have with our fans and are grateful for every single one of you,” he wrote. The 62-year-old’s sweet post comes amid an alleged rift in the Cyrus family. Billy Ray split from Tish Cyrus in 2022 after 30 years of marriage. And it appears the split may have caused the country crooner to drift away from several members of his family, including Miley. In fact, when Miley won her first Grammy in February, her dad was noticeably absent from her speech.
