Beyoncé To Make First Met Gala Appearance In A Decade As She’s Named Co-Chair For 2026
Beyoncé is heading back to the Met steps! On Wednesday, Dec. 10, Vogue announced that the Grammy winner will be a co-chair for the 2026 Met Gala alongside Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour. This year’s festivities will celebrate the Costume Institute exhibition titled “Costume Art.” Beyoncé last attended the Met Gala in 2016, titled “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology,” where she was dressed in Givenchy Haute Couture. While she walked the Met steps solo that year, she was joined by husband Jay-Z in 2015 when the Costume Institute held its “China: Through the Looking Glass” exhibit. The couple also attended the Gala together in 2014 and 2011, with Bey making appearances alone in 2013, 2012, and 2008.
