Beyoncé Honors ‘Beloved Queen’ Tina Turner In Sweet Tribute Following Icon’s Death

Beyoncé is honoring the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner. On Wednesday, the 41-year-old singer shared an emotional tribute to the late icon on her website. “My beloved queen, I love you endlessly. I’m so grateful for your inspiration, and all the ways you have paved the way,” she wrote. “You are strength and resilience. You are the epitome of power and passion. We are all so fortunate to have witnessed your kindness and beautiful spirit that will forever remain. Thank you for all you have done.” The sweet note was accompanied by a photo of them holding hands and bowing at the 2008 Grammy Awards. Tina performed her ‘80s classics at the show and surprised the audience when she said, “I’d like to bring out Miss Beyoncé. She and I will sing ‘Proud Mary.’” A few years earlier, Beyoncé sang “Proud Mary” in a tribute performance to Tina at the 2005 Kennedy Center Honors.
