Ayo Edebiri Speaks Out After Blasting Elon Musk Over ‘Pirates’ Casting Rumor Death Threats

Ayo Edebiri is clarifying comments she made about Elon Musk after calling him out. Earlier this week, Edebiri claimed she received death threats after the Tesla CEO reshared a false report about her in February 2024. “I got some of the most insane death threats and racial slurs of my life,” Edebiri revealed in her Instagram stories. She says the threats and slurs were prompted after Musk replied to a post on X claiming Disney was eyeing the actress to replace Johnny Depp in the next “Pirates of the Caribbean” film. At the time Musk reposted the rumor, writing, “Disney sucks.” After her revelation made headlines, Edebiri took to Instagram again, writing, “stop making my IG stories news. I’m just tryna have a silly goofy time.”
