Anne Hathaway Reflects On Going Through Miscarriage While Playing A Pregnant Character In 2015

Anne Hathaway is reflecting on a heartbreaking memory from her past. The actress, 41, opened up in a new interview with Vanity Fair about a miscarriage she suffered in 2015, shedding new light on a pregnancy announcement she made on Instagram four years later. “It’s not for a movie…. #2! All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love,” she wrote alongside a black-and-white mirror selfie at the time. “Given the pain I felt while trying to get pregnant, it would’ve felt disingenuous to post something all the way happy when I know the story is much more nuanced than that for everyone,” Anne told the mag of her post. “The Devil Wears Prada” star went on to share the emotional upheaval of going through her loss while starring in a one-woman off-Broadway play called “Grounded,” where she played a pregnant fighter pilot juggling work and life as a mom to her kids.
