Amar’e Stoudemire is speaking out after he was arrested following an alleged incident of domestic violence. Miami-Dade County jail online records show that the former NBA pro was booked on Sunday on a misdemeanor battery charge and had submitted $1,500 bond. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by NBC News, Stoudemire was arrested for allegedly punching and slapping one of his daughters, who was unidentified. In a statement to social media on Sunday afternoon, Stoudemire called the allegations “groundless,” saying in part, “I could never see myself assaulting any person, especially my children.”
