Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman are expecting a baby boy together and “The X Factor” judge told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson he already has a nickname for his child-to-be.
“It’s a boy,” the 54-year-old confirmed, before the reality TV mogul revealed he already has a nickname in the works.
“The first time I saw it, [it] was like that big and I called him Tad because he looked like a tadpole. I still want to call him Tad,” Simon said with a laugh.

“Then you see the thing grow… and you just become so attached to it and I never thought I would be that way, because I never wanted kids before. But now, I’m completely opposite,” he continued.
According to Simon, he would have been equally excited to have a boy or a girl.
“I wouldn’t [have] minded either way,” he told Shaun. “But, I kind of knew it was going to be a boy. I just had this feeling, well, the fact that I was calling [him] Tad, you know, that is kind of a guy’s name. I just had that feeling.”

And what about calling the little guy “Simon Jr.”?
“That I don’t know yet. I’m still gonna go for Tad,” he said.
“I know it’s going to be a big change for you, but you seem like you’re ready for it,” Shaun told Simon.
“I’m ready for it,” he added.

“The X Factor” returns with its first live episode of the season on a special day, Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 8 PM on Fox.
