It is hard to believe that Season 3 of “The Traitors” has come to an end, and host Alan Cumming certainly doesn’t let the game finish without some final surprises. With the finale’s promise of the “Fire of Truth,” where players decide to end the game, will everything the Faithfuls have worked towards go up in flames?
Episode 11, “The Day of Reckoning is Upon Us,” opens on the previous episode’s dramatic penultimate roundtable, which left us wondering if Traitor Britney is going to vote to send Ivar or her partner in crime and renewed best friend, Danielle, home. Finally, she reveals her slate with Danielle’s name on it, leading to her being banished from the game.
In the “Circle of Truth” Danielle, of course, reveals that she is a Traitor, after thanking everyone at the roundtable except Britney. To Britney, she just says, “Wow.” This moment is particularly heartbreaking knowing that their friendship had been ruined once before by Britney betraying her on their season of “Big Brother.” This leaves Britney in tears, but, perhaps to make herself feel better, she says in her confessional that Danielle would have been voted off eventually. Will Britney tossing Danielle to the Faithfuls throw them off enough to be the key to her winning as a Traitor?
The remaining players after this second-to-last roundtable are:
- Britney – Traitor
- Ivar
- Dolores
- Gabby
- Dylan

The Power Of The Seer
After Danielle’s dramatic exit, Alan announces that the game is changing. Tonight, there will be no murder. Instead, the player who won the power of “The Seer” in the previous episode will uncover someone’s identity over dinner. After leaving us waiting for a week, he reveals the power of the “Seer” will go to Britney.
Since Britney already knows who the Traitors are (i.e., Herself), she knows she needs to tread lightly and play the game like a Faithful. So, Britney invites Gabby, who has been labeled as a potential Traitor before, to a devious dinner behind Alan’s secret bookcase. Of course, Gabby is “revealed” to be a Faithful and Britney makes the case that she just wanted to make sure that they are on the same side to cover her tracks.
Meanwhile, the remaining Faithfuls try to figure out what Britney’s game would be if she is a Traitor like they are beginning to suspect. Thus, they lay a trap. If Britney says that Gabby is a Traitor at breakfast, it will confirm their suspicions. Tread carefully, Britney.

The Last Breakfast
The players go into breakfast searching for new leads. In her confessional, Dolores says she is “ashamed” of herself for believing Danielle and wants her to win all of the acting awards! Dylan says that the biggest clue that the Faithfuls have right now is Danielle not thanking Britney when she was in the “Circle of Truth,” leading them to believe that she could be a Traitor (and they would be right).
Breakfast rolls aren’t the only twists being served at the breakfast table. The telling moment the Faithfuls were waiting for is upon us. At the final breakfast of the season, Britney reveals… drumroll please… that Gabby is a Faithful (in Gabby’s own words later in the episode, “Duh, duh, DUH!”). The Faithfuls, Dylan in particular, are thrown off by this, as Britney telling the truth is not “Traitor behavior.” Or so they think. In his confessional, Dylan turns his mind to another theory – that Britney and Gabby BOTH are Traitors. After being framed by Danielle and Britney in the last episode, Gabby can’t stop catching strays!
Since a Traitor was not trapped like they were all expecting, the players go off searching for new leads and solidifying their final alliances. It is that time in the game when Faithfuls start to look at each other with suspicion more than ever, and Ivar and Dolores’ mistrust in each other make it seem like another Faithful might go home before the game is done. Britney has a strategy on this front as well. She makes a case to Gabby, who expresses gratitude that she cleared her name with the power of “The Seer,” that Dylan is now the most suspicious person in the castle due to his friendship with Danielle. Is this the pot calling the kettle black or a clever way to spin what would be the same allegations against her?
A Challenge of New Heights
The final episode means one final chance to win gold for the prize pot, and this last challenge features stunning old-timey cars in a heist-inspired mission ripped straight from “James Bond.” Alan, stunning alongside his regally adorned dog Lala, tells the players that they must solve a riddle to find where the remaining gold is being kept, or else it will be driven off into the sunset.
In the easiest challenge yet, they solve the clue, find the money, and get to drive back to the castle through the lovely Scottish landscape in the most gorgeous cars. Alan must’ve been being nice for the last episode – no bugs, dirt, or freaky clowns this time!
Or maybe we spoke too soon. The challenge, of course, comes with a twist. A helicopter flies over the castle and with it brings the opportunity for the players to double their money. To do so, they must dangle from the helicopter and drop their bag of money into a burning ring of fire (very on-theme for the finale). In true “The Traitors” fashion, if they miss, they get nothing. Britney and Dolores are paired to be shackled to the chopper together, as well as Dylan and Gabby. Ivar goes alone. All players manage to drop at least one bag into the ring. In her confessional, Gabby says that she felt so supported by Dylan (“But DON’T tell anyone!!”), which might throw a wrench in Britney’s plans to turn everyone against him.
In the wake of the challenge, the players split up to make their final arguments for their innocence and other players’ guilt. Britney argues to the other women that Dylan won’t stop voting people out until Gabby is left standing (knowing that she is 100% innocent), making the case that leaving Dylan in is dangerous to everyone’s game even as a Faithful. In true Housewife fashion, Dolores storms in on Dylan saying, “if you’re a f*cking Traitor, I am going to f*cking kill you.” Dylan’s response? “Wow, the end of this sucks.”

To Do Drama Or Not To Do Drama
The final roundtable commences with a stakes-raising statement from Alan: “This traitorous war you have all been fighting must be won or lost tonight.” Gabby starts by thanking Britney for clearing her name with the power of “The Seer” to which Britney says she didn’t have a “crazy act” in her. Britney is safe for now as Ivar throws out Dolores’ name as the Traitor, to which Dolores says that her whole life she has been a truthful person – being a Traitor is not her style – and reverses the accusation. Ivar argues back that he “does not do drama” because he has been trained his whole life as a Royal to stay out of the newspapers. Fair enough, Ivar.
With that being settled, the attention turns back to Britney in what ends up being an explosive argument between her and Dylan. He sees that she and Danielle could have easily been in the turret plotting to have a “storybook” ending together and he is completely right. The fact that Danielle was so cold to Britney when she was voted out is also suspicious, though Britney uses his own argument against him, as Danielle was also shocked and upset that Dylan voted against her. “How can he suspect me when our games have closely mirrored each other,” she argues to the table. Dylan says that the passion in her argument (“an attack,” according to him) makes him think that she is a Traitor even more than before, while, hilariously, it also makes him believe that he, himself, had been a Traitor this whole time.
The votes are in:
- Britney votes for Dylan
- Dylan votes for Britney
- Ivar votes for Britney
- Dolores, in a surprise turn, votes for Britney, saying that Danielle’s reaction to Britney made her question her Faithfulness for the first time
- Gabby votes for Britney
With that, Britney is unanimously banished from the game, but is not allowed to reveal her identity, leaving the remaining, and entirely Faithful, players wondering if there are still Traitors among them. She says in her confessional that Danielle kept Dylan around too long, as his “lovable” nature allowed him to be a key player.
The Fire of Truth
The game ends at the “Fire of Truth,” where players have the choice to end the game together or banish more players until everyone is certain that there are only Faithfuls left. Alan interviews the players before the fire of truth, asking, “What would a win mean to you?” Dylan and Ivar share life lessons that they have taken away from the game. Dylan says that the game has been “a crash course to being a better person” and Ivar adds, pensively, “Can you completely trust anybody?” Dolores says that she has been underestimated, though she “wouldn’t have made it this far” if people had seen her as more of a threat. In a heartwarming and teary-eyed moment, Gabby says that she and her girlfriend, comedian Robbie Hoffman, could get married if she wins the prize money.
The players finally gather around the fire, dressed to the nines, as they decide whether or not to trust one another and end the game. One by one, the players’ decisions are revealed through bursts of green flames – meaning that they all decided to trust each other. Gabby says that she chose to end the game because she has gotten this far by “not being greedy,” and Dolores says she chose to end the game because “she is a faithful and that is how she wants to leave.”
Fortunately for them, their loyalty works out. The foursome wins the game together, choosing to split the prize money of $204,300 and being the most Faithfuls to ever make it to the end. Congratulations to winners Gabby Windey, Dolores Catania, Dylan Efron, and Lord Ivar Mountbatten, who each took home $51,075!
Even though Danielle and Britney’s friendship went down in Traitorous flames, the game did get that “storybook” ending after all. Gabby and Robbie revealed that they got married on January 11, 2025.
