‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2’ Drops First Full-Length Trailer

“Game” on! “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” released its first full-length trailer on Thursday, but die-hard fans have had their bows and arrows long ready.

The closing chapter of the blockbuster franchise culminates in an epic showdown between President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and his embittered constituents, led by reluctant heroine and spokeswoman Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence).

With all 13 Panem districts in shambles, the country’s residents have banded together to overthrow Snow’s tyranny once and for all, but the Capitol leader appears well prepared for the mutiny.

“I’ve been watching you. And you watching me,” Snow hisses in the clip. “My dear Miss Everdeen, make no mistake. The game is coming to its end.”

Themes of loyalty and sacrifice continue to stand front-and-center in this fourth installment, as Katniss ponders the purpose of her mission.

“Our lives were never ours. They belong to Snow, and our deaths do too,” Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) tells his Hunger Games co-champion and partner. “But if you kill him, Katniss, if you end all of this, all those deaths — they mean something.”

No pressure.

The sequel also welcomes returning “Hunger Games” co-stars Elizabeth Banks, Sam Claflin, Natalie Dormer, Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth, Jena Malone, Julianne Moore and Stanley Tucci, along with the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in his final role. The film hits theaters nationwide on Nov. 20.
