Starz is saying goodbye to its “Boss.”
On Tuesday, the network confirmed it will not continue with the Kelsey Grammer-fronted show, which recently wrapped up its second season on the network.
“After much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to not proceed with ‘Boss,’” the network said in statement on Tuesday. “We remain proud of this award-winning show, its exceptional cast and writers, and are grateful to Kelsey Grammer, Farhad Safinia and our partners at Lionsgate TV.”
Access Hollywood has learned that there are discussions for a potential two-hour final episode of the series, to wrap up loose ends, but no deal has been made.
Starz has several new series coming to the network in the coming months, including “Da Vinci’s Demons.”
Also, the final season of “Spartacus” – “Spartacus: War of the Damned” — hits the airwaves next year, along with Season 2 of the Miami drama, “Magic City.”
