A frightening portrait emerged today of Sam Lutfi, the man who claims to be the manager of pop star Britney Spears, with the release of paperwork related to a temporary restraining order issued against him.
In the supporting paperwork, Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, recounts several instances in recent weeks involving Lutfi’s dealings with her daughter. She also claims he cut off Britney’s phone line, threw away her cell phone chargers and disabled her cars.
Lynne alleges that during one recent conversation she had with Lutfi he claimed Britney would die and he would soil her grave if Britney’s family tried to interfere in his relationship with the pop star.
“Sam told me, ‘You’d better learn that I control everything. I control Howard Grossman, Britney’s business manager. I control her attorneys and the security guards at the gate. They don’t listen to Britney, they listen to me,'” Lynne claimed Sam said. “At another point that evening, Sam bragged to me that he is the one who receives Britney’s checks.”
“He told me that if he weren’t in the house to give Britney her medicine, she would kill herself,” Lynne’s statement continued. “Then he said to me, ‘If you try to get rid of me, she’ll be dead and I’ll p*** on her grave.”
In Lynne’s six-page declaration, she also claimed Lutfi told her he is involved in administrating bi-polar medication to her daughter.
“Sam told Jackie [Lynne’s friend] and me that he grinds up Britney’s pills, which were on the counter and included Risperdol and Seroquel. He told us that he puts them in her food and that that was the reason she had been quiet for the last three days (she had been sleeping). He told us that the doctor who is treating her now is trying to get her into a sleep-induced coma so that they could then give her drugs to heal her brain,” Lynne claimed.
She also claimed that Lutfi told Britney she could not see her children, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, unless she takes her pills.
“Britney then said again at some point during the night, ‘When do I get to see my babies?’ Sam answered, ‘Wednesday.’ Britney then said, ‘What do I have to do to see them?’ Sam responded, ‘Take the pills I tell you to take,’” Lynne’s declaration read. “Britney said, ‘I don’t like the pills and I don’t like the psychiatrist. Can’t I see another psychiatrist so I can see my babies?’ Sam responded, ‘’If I told you to take 10 pills a day, you should do what I tell you to see your babies.’”
In her declaration, Lynne described Lutfi as, “the man who has inserted himself into my daughter’s life, home and finances.”
Lynne also describes him as a type of “general” over the paparazzi.
“The paparazzi reported to Sam and addressed him with great respect. They treated him like a general,” Lynne said.
She also recounted one conversation between the pop star and Lutfi, where she alleged he verbally abused Britney.
“During Britney’s and Sam’s fight that evening, Sam had told Britney that she was an unfit mother, a piece of trash and a whore, that she cares more about Adnan, her current boyfriend, than she cares about her kids and that she does not deserve her kids,” Lynne said.
The temporary restraining order, which was approved by Commissioner Reva Goetz on Friday, requires that Lutfi stay away from not only Britney, her homes and the UCLA Medical Center where she is currently receiving treatment, but he must also stay away from her family as well.
In Lynne’s declaration she also accuses Lutfi of threatening her, quoting him as saying, “‘I’m the one who spends 24/7 with your daughter. I sleep in cars outside her house so she can’t leave.’ Sam then said, ‘You people throw everyone under the bus, if you don’t listen to me I’m going to make your name sh** in the papers.”
