Lisa Kudrow Talks Jennifer Aniston’s ‘Rachel’ Cut & Why She Passed On ‘Modern Family’

Jennifer Aniston might look back on her “Friends” era hairstyle as the worst haircut she’s ever had, or so she said, but former co-star Lisa Kudrow loved the iconic ‘do.

Lisa – who is executive producing NBC’s “Who Do You Think You Are?,” about the genealogical searches of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars – stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Friday and dished on one of the most popular haircut of the ‘90s.

“Jennifer Aniston says she did not like her ‘do. She said it was the worst haircut she’s ever had, ‘The Rachel,” Billy told Lisa.

“What? I mean, I think it was work…[but], I thought it was fantastic!” Lisa told Billy and Kit.

Lisa also weighed in on Jen’s dilemma about choosing between “Saturday Night Live” and “Friends,” telling Billy and Kit she knew exactly what she would have picked.

”‘Friends,’ because I was doing ‘Mad About You’ and I wanted to stay and make sure whatever happened, I was doing ‘Mad About You,’” Lisa explained.

The actress also revealed why she didn’t pursue a role on another hit sitcom many years later — ABC’s “Modern Family.”

“I thought, ‘I don’t know what I’d do with it,’” Lisa said when asked about reading the role of Claire Dunphy, which eventually went to Julie Bowen. “And, so, you know, that’s all. Julie Bowen does know what to do with it, so, it’s all as it should be.”

The Season 2 of “Who Do You Think You Are?” with Vanessa Williams premieres tonight at 8 PM on NBC.
