Katy Perry Says Global Lifetimes Tour Is For Ages ‘8 To 80’: ‘There Is No Age Limit’

Katy Perry is going back on the road after seven years!

The music superstar exclusively sat down with Access Hollywood’s Kit Hoover to chat about her upcoming global Lifetimes Tour, for which she revealed dates for the U.S. leg on Monday.

“I think it encapsulates this journey that I’ve been on with my fans from day one. It’s over 17 years we’ve been doing this, and we all started as like these, you know, grimy little teenagers, in very, very small venues and getting to know each other,” Katy explained.

Adding, “I hear the stories of some of my fans lives and how they’ve blossomed and grown. And they have families, they have careers. They’re reaching their dreams of fulfilling their dreams. They’re doing things in the world, making an impact. And so, I’m just excited to go back out there and see them again and reconnect.”

The “Teenage Dream” songstress also noted that she just loves creating that feeling of “unity and empowerment” while on tour and promises that her there is “no age limit” for her shows.

“It’s 80 to 80. That’s like my audience. How cool is that, by the way? It’s not many artists can say that because, like, grandma’s bringing her granddaughter or her grandson, you know, like there is no age limit,” the singer shared.

Katy is set to launch her U.S. Lifetimes Tour on May 7 at the Toyota Center in Houston.
