Jennifer Lopez Files To Divorce Ben Affleck Following 2 Years Of Marriage (Source)

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage is coming to an end.

JLO filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Aug. 20 after two years of marriage, a source close to the singer tells NBC News.

The source also said Jen filed herself without a lawyer and that the pair did not have a prenup.

Access Hollywood has reached out to Jennifer and Ben’s teams for comment.

The date JLO filed is significant as well–it marks the second anniversary of their lavish Georgia wedding in 2022, although the pair tied-the-knot for the first time in Las Vegs on July 16, 2022.

This would be Jennifer’s fourth divorce and Ben’s second.

The filing comes after months of speculation that the couple was facing tensions in their marriage, with a source telling Access Hollywood in May that the two were living separately. More than a month later in June, People reported that Ben had moved his things out of the couple’s shared mansion in Beverly Hills, which they purchased in 2023. That home is now publicly listed for $68 million.

Prior to the filing, JLO and Ben had not been spotted together in weeks.

Ben was noticeably absent when the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer traveled to Europe in June.

The two celebrated the Fourth of July holiday separately and didn’t spend their second wedding anniversary together.

Earlier this month, the singer threw a Bridgerton-themed birthday party in the Hamptons, but according to multiple sources who spoke with People, Ben skipped the celebrations.

“Summer isn’t exactly what she originally had planned, but she’s making the best of it,” a source told People.

JLO and Ben’s split seemingly ends their whirlwind romance that started more than two decades ago.

The two met in 2001, when they were cast in the romantic comedy “Gigli” but didn’t start dating until 2002. By November of that year Ben proposed to Jen with a pink diamond.

But, things took a turn in September 2003 when—just days before their planned wedding – they revealed they were calling the ceremony off.

The two then went their separate ways but famously reunited in 2021 and tied the knot the following year, however, it appears their love story has reached its end.
