Though they reached a divorce settlement last July, problems between Christie Brinkley and her ex, Peter Cook, are heating up again legally.
Cook has asked a judge to issue a Contempt of Court order against Christie Brinkley earlier this week, over an incident involving their son Jack.
According to reports, Jack missed a school trip to Egypt, which his father planned to accompany him on in late November.
Cook claims Brinkley stalled getting their son’s passport ready, leading the two to miss the international adventure.
“Jack missed the whole trip,” Cook’s lawyer, Steven Kuhn told Newsday. “Mr. Cook wishes that he didn’t have to go to court.”
Brinkley’s attorney, however, called the filing “petty.”
“Peter Cook somehow believes that the only way he can repair his image is to use the court and the media to make scurrilous claims about Christie Brinkley,” Brinkley’s attorney Peter R. Caronia said in a statement to Access Hollywood.
“His latest filing is unfounded, unwarranted and petty.”
