Bill O’Reilly: ‘The View’ Walk-Off Was ‘Great’

While Bill O’Reilly says he had no idea his appearance on “The View” would lead to the controversial exit of two of the show’s co-hosts, the FOX News anchor told Rachael Ray that the walk-off was “great.”

“I knew we would have a lively discussion because those ladies and I, with the exception of Elizabeth Hasselbeck, we kind of see life differently,” Bill told Rachael in a segment airing on “The Rachael Ray Show” on Thursday. “But I never thought that they were going… They headed to the locker room and it wasn’t even half time yet. Where is everybody?”

Though unexpected, Bill said he immediately saw a chance to capitalize on the controversy.

“When they walked out, I was going to myself ‘this is great,’ because I knew I’d get five segments on [‘The O’Reilly Factor],” he told Rachael. “And I knew, I could just take that and I could get three or four shows out of this.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, “The View” hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar got up and walked out of an interview with Bill during a heated discussion of President Obama’s handling of the planned mosque near Ground Zero in New York City.

Bill’s “Rachael Ray” visit will mark his first appearance on daytime television since he stopped by ‘The View” on October 14.
