Chicago Mom Takes Up Street Corner To Stop Neighborhood Violence: Her Inspiring Story
Tamar Manasseh decided that she needed to do something to stop the gun violence in her Chicago neighborhood, so, like a mom and like a boss, she took over the corner and got active. Five years later, that corner is a thriving community. She and her neighbors’ inspiring work will soon be the focus of a documentary. Tamar tells Access Daily’s Scott Evans and Kit Hoover what inspired her to take action and what her community’s efforts have blossomed into. For more, information check out @maskchicago on Instagram. The documentary “They Ain’t Ready For Me” is coming soon.
